Galactic Civil War is an immersive Milsim/LARP set in a Galaxy Far Far Away that utilizes Airsoft for combat mechanics.
Galactic Civil War has two main events each year; one Battlefront event and one Story LARP event.
Battlefront focuses on the combat experience, putting the Empire and Rebels against eachother in a 2 hour conquest gametype, unaffiliated players are divided at the start of each round between the two main factions to balance teams. After each combat round players have time to relax, buy character upgrades, and prepair for the next round.
The Story LARP event puts our players into our progressing story, this is a continous game that focuses on naritive and roleplaying your character, upgrades and shops are placed on the field ran by NPC characters.
Both types of games utalize the same combat ruleset, but offer a much different experence.
In game economy rewards you for completing missions for your faction, allowing you to purchase upgrades for your character, food and drink at the local cantina, and lets you test your luck at the sabacc table.
The goal of our events is to try and replicate the living breathing Galaxy far far away. We provide many props as well as a cast of NPC roleplayers in order to try and bring that world alive. It is up to you as a player to try and match the aesthetics of the universe as much as possible, via clothing, armor, weapons and gear.
The series is put on by the Galactic Airsoft Alliance, we are always looking for new planets (fields) to take our adventures.
We are constantly implementing new innovations to our events, interactive Skirmesh capture system, vibration detecting targets, radio frequency/gps trackers for bounties, progressive character upgrades, in-game economy, and hit detection system for juggernauts.
